On Saturday, May 2, we stopped by Kabinet Múz in Brno, where three very promising Czech and Slovak bands performed.
I always say, “Support local bands, go to their shows, buy their merchandise, and spread the word about their music”—especially when they take the stage and put on a great show. And that’s exactly what the band Black Row did as the opening act, getting everyone pumped up and ready for a great night. If you want to go back in time to the ’90s and ’00s and experience a sound reminiscent of Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park, then you definitely can’t miss these guys.

Slovakia took Brno by storm with its sound and won over a fan base that will stay with them forever. Melodic deathcore by Sawdust And Mold definitely got the biggest response. Oldo claimed he was sick, and yet he was amazing. Just imagine what it would have been like if he’d been in top form.

If you like gothic music but need to listen to something faster and more aggressive, then here’s just what you need: Meredith and their symphonic gothic metalcore. I was lucky enough to witness their impressive performance in a dark and intense atmosphere—an experience I’d definitely like to repeat.
