German-Brazilian band FlowerLeaf released their second full-length album, "Dreamerie," on February 20, 2026. As a huge fan of power and symphonic metal, I can't pass up this opportunity to write another review.
FlowerLeaf They formed in 2017 and have since relied primarily on the angelic vocals of a talented Brazilian woman living in Germany Vivs Takahashi. The other band members are guitarist Luca Schulte-Kellinghaus, bassplayer Marcelo Kaczorowsky and drummer Florian Mathes.

I like the new album much more than the previous one. Right from the first single, “Sandman,” I was captivated by the music, the vocals, and the theme. The subsequent singles didn’t quite grab me as much at first, but after listening to the entire album as a whole, all the tracks fit together perfectly. Overall, I really enjoy the very distinctive guitar and bass sound throughout the album, which highlights the delicate high vocals. The guitar melodies are very energetic and completely draw the listener into the story. In the track “The Wake,” which has a darker, deeper sound, the vocals provide an interesting contrast, especially in the bass-heavy chorus. I also definitely appreciate the use of harsh vocals in some tracks, such as “Sandman” or “Silksong,” which showcase Vivs' versatility.
Overall, I give it a 90% rating for their take on this amazing theme and for the musical progress the band has made. I’ve noticed a significant improvement since their last album, and I believe they’ll continue on this path. I definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys this genre and appreciates high-quality female vocals, whether in the high registers or the harsh ones.
If any of this piques your interest, be sure to give the album a listen. If you’ve already heard it, we’d love to hear your thoughts.
