The sun went down over Pilsen before Belphegor

On October 11, 2026, it was sunny and warm in Pilsen, just as it was throughout most of the Czech Republic. As evening approached, however, the sun began to set rather quickly, and it was followed by a stronger wind and a piercing silence.
At the Šeříkovka club, four bands were scheduled to perform: A Call For Revenge, Asagraum, Krisiun, and Belphegor. I won’t lie—that’s a really strong lineup - from blackened death/hardcore to blackened death metal with lyrics in Latin and, from time to time, even Satanic ritual texts.

The first band of the evening was A Call For Revenge, which formed in 2009 in Mexico City. They’re promoting their latest album, “Veiled in Darkness.” As their set went on, more and more people began to gather—and the band knew how to keep up the vibes up! Their fast and heavy breakdowns made the crowd moved and interested in their performance.

The next support band on stage was Asagraum. This is an all-female band from the Netherlands with the songs filled with satanism and occultism (satanism is based on beliefs, occultism is more about looking for hidden knowledge regarding magic, esoterism). Their gig was filed with appropriate symbols – there was no room for doubt – they knew what they were doing.

The last band to perform before the headliner was Krisiun. This is a group of Brazilian brothers with a passion for brutal death metal started in 1990. They are known for their uncompromising approach to riffs as well as lyrics. Their intensive energy was felt from the first note, and it didn’t stop until the last sound.

Then it came time to welcome the headliner of the night, the Austrian Belphegor. They’ve been active since the early ’90s. The stage was decorated with just about everything—torches, skulls, inverted crosses. The fog and lights were creating atmosphere instantly. It was clear from the very first moment what message they wanted to send. Their songs are filled with satanism, blasphemous visions, sex, perversion and death (nice cocktail).

Professionalism, knowledge of the craft and passion was felt throughout the whole performances.
