Gatecreeper
East coast based US band Gatecreeper were a mystery for me. But they were an amazing wake up call. Brutal, death metal at its finest. Amazing drum blasts and true force in vocals. Gatecreeper are a young (relatively) band and for sure they will grow fast in a scene that is well known for accepting and recognizing new talents.
Ankor
Why ANKOR played at such a small stage I will never understand. And neither will the fans who actually covered a triple sized area trying to feel the power and see the performance of ANKOR. A band that is on the fast rise, certified this route by offering an amazing performance. The Mediterranean vibe (Spanish/Greek lineup) was clear on stage and Jessie is a true frontwoman and performer. Pitty they were on such a small stage but surely their return will be in a much bigger.
Tom Morello
Every Rage Against the Machine fan was there and not only. With amazing guitar riffs and lyrics that target current society issues Tom Morello offered us an extremely technical performance. Accompanied by his son Robert (that boy is destined to become an guitar master) the crowd interaction was memorable. And as mentioned, for the many many Rage Against the Machine fans, “Killing in the name of….”
Tatty Macleod
And now for something completely different. Stand-Up comedy! An break from music and a taste of a different form of entertainment. Tatty is a stand-up comedian who is well known for her interactive approach. Direct discussion with the audience over serious topics in a non-serious tone. The scene was packed and despite English not being the main language of many, Tatty managed to get everyone having a good time via clear and simple delivery.
A Day to Remember
A world renowned band famous for its cross genre sound. From metalcore to Punk or Pop they are on the top. And their performance was top as well. Amazing visuals and powerful songs made it an amazing show. And fun too. Moshpits and balloons at the same time! A set full of number 1 hits and a performance worthy of a number 1 band.
Bring Me the Horizon
The headliners of day 3 was Bring Me the Horizon. And just by looking in the crowd you could understand why. Almost everyone was wearing a BMTH shirt. Everyone was desperately trying to get the best position for the show. Tons of pyro and a big background accompanied Oli and the gang while they lifted everyone from the ground. Speed, power, metal, electronic…..whatever you want to call their style you will be right. 3 years after their previous show BMTH was epic!
Three Days Grace
Three days Grace was a true symbolic end to day 3. The Canadian band delivered a true mastershow. Heavy and melodic tunes made everyone ignore the cold and stay till the end jumping up and down and running around in the pits. Perfect sound and interaction Three Days Grace convinced everyone that they are rightfully at the top at this moment and there is ….nothing to hate about them!
