V pátek 18.10.2024 se ve zlínském Masters of Rock Café konala další skvělá akce. Mnoho lidí se přišlo podívat na legendární symphonic metalovou kapelu Kamelot společně s Ad Infinitum, Blackbriar a Frozen Crown.
Večer začal energickou powermetalovou show skupiny Frozen Crown. Jejich set byl velmi krátký, zahráli jen 6 písní, ale já osobně jsem si ho opravdu užila a zpívala jsem si celou dobu s nimi. Set zakončili písní „I Am The Tyrant“, která se mi líbí díky dominantnímu vokálu Federica. Mimochodem, právě vydali nové album a měli byste si ho poslechnout (více informací na tomto odkazu).
Poté na pódium nastoupili Ad Infinitum. A pro mě to bylo nejlepší vystoupení večera. Možná jejich nové album není tak metalové jako ty předchozí, ale moc se mi líbí melodie a krásný čistý vokál Melissy. Zahráli spoustu písní z alba „Abyss“, ale i starší věci jako „Animals“ nebo „Upside Down“. Užívala jsem si každou vteřinu a bonusem pro mě bylo obdržení setlistu přímo od Melissy.
Přesuneme se k poslednímu speciálnímu hostu tohoto turné, kapele Blackbriar z Nizozemska. Jejich velmi alternativní styl s jedinečnými vokálními linkami je velmi netypický. Nejsem jejich největším fanouškem, ale podpora publika byla skvělá a spousta lidí se přišla podívat právě na ně. Byl to pro mě velký zážitek vidět jejich živé vystoupení poprvé v životě.
Vrcholem večera byli jednoznačně headlineři, skupina Kamelot. Dlouho jsem je neviděla a skvěle jsem se bavila. Bylo opravdu úžasné s nimi na pódiu vidět Melissu při některých písních, jako byla například „Sacrimony“. Starší skladby se mi líbí o něco více, ale bylo opravdu skvělé slyšet „One More Flag in the Ground“ naživo. Konec setu mě dostal nejvíc, „Liar Liar“ je opravdu dobrá závěrečná píseň.
Vždycky je skvělé potkat po koncertě alespoň některé členy kapely a trochu si popovídat.
Poděkování patří všem, kteří se na tomto večeru podíleli, samozřejmě všem kapelám a jejich crew, ale také pořadatelům a promotérům a v neposlední řadě všem fanouškům, kteří na podobné akce chodí.

On Friday 18.10.2024 there was another great event at the Masters of Rock Café in Zlín. Many people came to see the legendary symphonic metal band Kamelot together with Ad Infinitum, Blackbriar and Frozen Crown.
The evening began with an energetic power metal show by Frozen Crown. Their set was really short, they only played 6 songs, but I personally really enjoyed it and sang along the whole time. The set ended with the song “I Am The Tyrant”, which I like because of Federico‘s dominant vocals. By the way, they just released a new album and you should check it out (more info on this link).
After that Ad Infinitum took the stage. And for me it was the best show of the evening. Maybe their new album is not as metal as the previous ones, but I really like the melodies and the beautiful pure vocals of Melissa. They played a lot of songs from the “Abyss” album, but also some older stuff like “Animals” or “Upside Down”. I enjoyed every second and bonus for me was receiving a setlist directly from Melissa.
Let’s move on to the last special guest on this tour, Blackbriar from the Netherlands. Their very alternative style with unique vocal lines is very atypical. I’m not their biggest fan, but the support from the audience was great and a lot of people came just to see them. It was a great experience for me to see their live performance for the first time.
The highlight of the evening was definitely the headliners, Kamelot. I hadn’t seen them for a while and I had a great time. It was really amazing to see Melissa on stage with them for some songs like “Sacrimony”. I like the older songs a bit more but it was really cool to hear “One More Flag in the Ground” live. The end of the set got me the most, “Liar Liar” is a really good closing song.
It’s always wonderful to meet at least some band members after the show and chat a little bit.
Thanks goes to everybody who involved in this evening, of course to all bands and their crew, but also to the organizers and promoters, last but bot least to all the fans who are coming to events like this.
