Laura a jej\u00ed tyg\u0159i vznikli na konci roku 1985 z iniciativy Karla \u0160\u016fchy, inspirovan\u00e9ho novelou Williama Saroyana Tracyho tygr. Spojen\u00ed n\u011bhy a divokosti se propsalo nejen do n\u00e1zvu kapely, ale i do jej\u00ed nezam\u011bniteln\u00e9 vizu\u00e1ln\u00ed podoby \u2013 \u010dern\u00e9 br\u00fdle, b\u00edl\u00e9 ko\u0161ile, \u010dern\u00e9 kravaty \u2013 a energick\u00e9ho, syrov\u00e9ho koncertn\u00edho projevu, kter\u00fd kapelu odli\u0161il od dom\u00e1c\u00ed sc\u00e9ny.<\/p>\n

B\u011bhem \u010dty\u0159 desetilet\u00ed odehr\u00e1li tyg\u0159i v\u00edce ne\u017e 2 500 koncert\u016f doma i v zahrani\u010d\u00ed, vydali 13 alb a realizovali \u0159adu v\u00fdrazn\u00fdch koncertn\u00edch projekt\u016f. Po p\u00e1du \u017eelezn\u00e9 opony se v\u00fdrazn\u011b prosadili na evropsk\u00fdch p\u00f3di\u00edch, vystoupili na presti\u017en\u00edch m\u00edstech nap\u0159\u00ed\u010d Evropou i mimo ni a v roce 1993 z\u00edskali cenu Grand Prix Media RFI.
