Jak bylo p\u0159ijato? Jak na n\u011bj reagovali fanou\u0161ci?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Ano, p\u0159esn\u011b v dob\u011b, kdy jsme byli na turn\u00e9 se Sonatou Arcticou<\/strong>. Album jsme vydali mysl\u00edm t\u00fdden po za\u010d\u00e1tku turn\u00e9. Reakce byly naprosto skv\u011bl\u00e9! Mysl\u00edm, \u017ee jsme po minul\u00e9m albu mohli ud\u011blat zase krok dop\u0159edu, hudebn\u011b. V\u0161echno bylo zat\u00edm p\u0159ijato, i p\u0159i \u017eiv\u00fdch vystoupen\u00edch hrajeme na koncert\u011b \u010dty\u0159i p\u00edsni\u010dky z posledn\u00edho alba. Ano, mysl\u00edm, \u017ee reakce jsou dobr\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bylo to druh\u00e9 album s va\u0161\u00edm sou\u010dasn\u00fdm zp\u011bv\u00e1kem <\/em>Nikolou.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Odv\u00e1d\u00ed \u00fa\u017easnou pr\u00e1ci jak na CD, tak na p\u00f3diu. Tak\u017ee je te\u010f zp\u00e1tky a pracuje s v\u00e1mi na CD?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Ano, na aran\u017em\u00e1, produkci, samoz\u0159ejm\u011b hr\u00e1l i n\u011bkter\u00e9 kytarov\u00e9 linky a kl\u00e1vesy. Ale m\u00e1 toho tolik na pr\u00e1ci, \u017ee u\u017e nem\u016f\u017ee jezdit a turn\u00e9 ho nebav\u00ed. Je tak trochu \u010dlenem, ale ne. Ne \u017eiv\u00fdm \u010dlenem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kdy\u017e se bav\u00edme o hudb\u011b, kdo je tvou inspirac\u00ed a pro\u010d jsi v\u016fbec za\u010dal hr\u00e1t na kytaru?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Mysl\u00edm, \u017ee mi bylo dvan\u00e1ct a u\u017e tehdy jsem vid\u011bl sv\u016fj prvn\u00ed koncert, byl to koncert Pink Floyd<\/strong> v Linci, bylo to v roce 1989, a od t\u00e9 chv\u00edle jsem cht\u011bl b\u00fdt na p\u00f3diu. Samoz\u0159ejm\u011b takhle velk\u00e9, je\u0161t\u011b ne, ale stejn\u011b. Tak m\u011b rodi\u010de p\u0159ihl\u00e1sili na hodiny kytary ve \u0161kole, na prvn\u00ed kr\u016f\u010dky. T\u00e1ta u\u017e m\u011bl doma akustickou kytaru, tak\u017ee to nebyl probl\u00e9m. Po tomto prvn\u00edm roce tyto hodiny ve \u0161kole skon\u010dily, tak\u017ee jsem \u0161el do hudebn\u00ed \u0161koly a u\u010dil se hr\u00e1t na klasickou kytaru. S prstokladem, klasickou hudbou Johanna Sebastiana Bacha<\/strong> a podobn\u011b. P\u00edsni\u010dky, kter\u00e9 jsem se musel nau\u010dit, jsem moc necvi\u010dil, ale vzal jsem si v\u0161echno, co je pro m\u011b d\u016fle\u017eit\u00e9, a za\u010dal jsem skl\u00e1dat. CD s m\u00fdmi vlastnoru\u010dn\u011b nahran\u00fdmi klasick\u00fdmi skladbami le\u017e\u00ed v \u0161upl\u00edku, mo\u017en\u00e1 je jednou vyd\u00e1m. Ka\u017edop\u00e1dn\u011b krok za krokem jsem se nau\u010dil hr\u00e1t na klasickou kytaru, pak jsem si trochu vy\u0161l\u00e1pl na elektrickou kytaru, pak na kytary s ocelov\u00fdmi strunami, na v\u00edce finger-picking styl atd. Pak jsem skon\u010dil v r\u016fzn\u00fdch lok\u00e1ln\u00edch kapel\u00e1ch v rakousk\u00e9m Linci a postupn\u011b jsem se dostal na dal\u0161\u00ed \u00farove\u0148 zn\u00e1m\u00fdch kapel, t\u0159eba Eden Bridge<\/strong>, a to m\u011b sezn\u00e1milo s Mariem<\/strong>, kter\u00fd d\u011blal pro EB zvukov\u00fd engeneering, pak jsem s n\u00edm m\u011bl n\u011bjakou produkci pro jinou kapelu a pak se m\u011b zeptal, jestli bych se nep\u0159idal k jeho n\u00e1padu na novou kapelu, kter\u00e1 se te\u010f jmenuje Serious Black<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jeden z fanou\u0161k\u016f\/fanynek cht\u011bl v\u011bd\u011bt, kdo z kapely je nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00ed bru\u010doun a kdo nejvtipn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n To z\u00e1le\u017e\u00ed na denn\u00ed dob\u011b. R\u00e1no jsem bru\u010doun, nevrl\u00e1 ko\u010dka. A pro nikoho jin\u00e9ho to nen\u00ed vtipn\u00e9. \u0160patn\u00e9 okam\u017eiky jsou, kdy\u017e je autobus p\u0159ipraven k odjezdu a vy si vzpomenete, \u017ee jste v n\u011bm n\u011bco zapomn\u011bli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A co zat\u00edm nejlep\u0161\u00ed turn\u00e9?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Nejlep\u0161\u00ed turn\u00e9 bych \u0159ekl, \u017ee bylo turn\u00e9 se Sonatou Arcticou<\/strong>. Byly tam n\u011bjak\u00e9 probl\u00e9my a h\u00e1dky, to se st\u00e1v\u00e1 v\u017edycky. Ale bylo to opravdu hladk\u00e9, pohodov\u00e9 a lidi mluvili na rovinu a v pohod\u011b. Pro m\u011b to bylo zat\u00edm nejlep\u0161\u00ed turn\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jak\u00e9 jsou va\u0161e pl\u00e1ny do budoucna?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Pr\u00e1v\u011b jsme podepsali smlouvu s novou nahr\u00e1vac\u00ed spole\u010dnost\u00ed Perception<\/strong>, co\u017e je sourozenec RPM<\/strong>, a u\u017e pracujeme na dal\u0161\u00ed desce. Vyd\u00e1n\u00ed z\u00e1vis\u00ed na tom, jestli se v budoucnu uskute\u010dn\u00ed n\u011bjak\u00e9 turn\u00e9 jako support, to by byl d\u016fvod, pro\u010d desku vydat. Pokud nic nebude, m\u00e1me \u010das. Ale pokud bude, t\u0159eba v \u00fanoru p\u0159\u00ed\u0161t\u00edho roku, turn\u00e9 pro n\u00e1s, bylo by p\u0159ipraveno k vyd\u00e1n\u00ed v lednu. No, ale deska mus\u00ed b\u00fdt hotov\u00e1 d\u0159\u00edv, tak\u017ee mo\u017en\u00e1 v srpnu\/z\u00e1\u0159\u00ed. Uvid\u00edme, co p\u0159inese budoucnost. V\u017edycky se t\u011b\u0161\u00edme, a\u017e budeme m\u00edt v \u010cesku m\u00edsto, kde budeme hr\u00e1t, na festivalech, Rock Castle<\/strong> and Masters of Rock<\/strong> nebo na n\u011b\u010dem jin\u00e9m. V\u017edycky je skv\u011bl\u00e9 b\u00fdt zp\u00e1tky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Douf\u00e1m, \u017ee tenhle koncert bude mnohem lep\u0161\u00ed ne\u017e v\u010dera.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n To netu\u0161\u00edm, ale pokud bude skv\u011bl\u00e9 publikum. Z\u00e1le\u017e\u00ed na mnohem v\u00edc ne\u017e na velk\u00e9m skv\u011bl\u00e9m p\u00f3diu. Nem\u00e1m r\u00e1d velk\u00e1 p\u00f3dia a kdy\u017e publikum jakoby stoj\u00ed a nic ned\u011bl\u00e1. Rad\u011bji hraju pro t\u011bch p\u011bt lid\u00ed vep\u0159edu, kte\u0159\u00ed moshuj\u00ed a kte\u0159\u00ed jsou do hudby za\u017eran\u00ed. English:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Before Serious Black<\/strong>‚s performance in Prague’s Storm Club<\/strong>, I had the opportunity to have a short chat with the guitarist and one of the founding members of this very band, Dominik Sebastian<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Hello, nice to meet you and see you again! You released your latest album („Rise of Akhenaton“) last year, around October. How was it received? How did the fans react?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Yes, exactly while we were on tour with Sonata Arctica<\/strong>. We released the album I think a week after the tour started. The reactions were absolutely great! I think we could take a step forward again after the last album, musically. Everything was accepted so far, also for live performances we do 4 songs of the latest album on the show. Yeah, the response is good, I think.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It was the second album with your current vocalist, <\/em>Nikola.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n He does an amazing job as well on CD as on stage. It\u2019s fabulous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When we are talking about albums, which one of them is your favourite?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I\u2019d say „Vengeance is Mine“, that would be my favourite album of ours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And favourite song maybe?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I\u2019d pick one of those which I wrote, I think „Shades of Glory\u201c“ or \u2026what was the name of the song from „Vengeance is Mine“ called\u2026 I have forgotten the name of the song, we never played it live anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n My next question is, who is writing the music and lyrics the most?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n More or less, all together. Everyone throws in some ideas, some riffs, some vocal lines. And then Mario Lochert<\/strong> and Bob Katsionis<\/strong> do the arrangements and sometimes they take an idea from here and there, put it together and create a song.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You mentioned <\/em>Bob, I know he’s been out of the band for a while. So he’s back now and working on the CDs with you?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Yes, for arrangement, for production, also he played some guitar lines and keyboards of course. But he has so much to do so he cannot and he doesn\u2019t like touring anymore. He\u2019s kind of a member, but not. Not a live member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When we are talking about music, who is your inspiration and why did you even start to play the guitar?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I think I was 12 and I already watched my first concert, it was Pink Floyd<\/strong> in Linz, it was 1989 and yeah from that moment I just wanted to be on stage. Of course this big, not yet, but anyway. Then my parents signed me for guitar lessons in school, for the first steps. My father already had an acoustic guitar at home so it was no problem. After this first year, these lessons in school ended so I went to music school and learned to play the classical guitar. With finger-picking, classical music Johann Sebastian Bach<\/strong>, stuff like that. I didn\u2019t really practice the songs I had to learn but took everything what\u2019s important for me and started composing. The CD of my self recorded classical tunes are laying in a drawer, maybe one day I\u2019ll released them. Anyway step by step I learned to play the classical guitar, then stepped on electric guitar a bit, then on guitars with steel strings, for more finger-picking style etc. Then I ended up in different local bands in Linz, Austria\u00a0 and step by step I got to the next level of well-known bands, like Eden Bridge<\/strong> and that introduced me to Mario<\/strong>, who did the sound engeneering for EB and then I had some production with him for another band and then he asked me if I would join his idea of a new band, called now Serious Black<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n One of the fans wanted to know, who is the grumpiest and who is the funniest member of the band.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n It depends on the time of the day. In the morning, I\u2019m a grumpy man, the grumpy cat. It depends also on the daily news in the music business of course, then it might be Mario who gets really angry about something that doesn\u2019t work how it\u2019s supposed to. With funniest is one day one guy, other day the other. We are all funny guys I think, but we all have really straight thinking and some serious stuff inside. We can have a serious discussion and still have a lot of fun. I wouldn\u2019t point to anyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When you\u2019re now on tour, do you have the worst memory from a tour?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Of course, but I won\u2019t tell anyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Okay, and one of your happiest memories?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Lots of. I can\u2019t think of a specific one. It\u2019s like a slapstick comedy, it happens and then it\u2019s gone. And it\u2019s not funny for anyone else. Bad moments is when the tourbus is ready to leave and you remember you forgot something inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What about the best tour so far?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The best tour I\u2019d say it was the Sonata Arctica<\/strong> tour. There were some issues and arguing, it always happens. But it was really smooth, easygoing, and the people were straight talking and you know ok. It was the greatest tour so far for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What are your plans for the future?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We just signed with a new record company, Perception label<\/strong>, it\u2019s a sibling of RPM<\/strong> and we\u2019re working already on the next record. Release depends on if there\u2019s some touring as a support in the future, this would be a reason for the record to be released. If there\u2019s nothing, we have time. But if there\u2019s, maybe in February next year, a tour for us, it would be ready to release in January. Well, the record has to be done before, so maybe in August\/September. Let\u2019s see what the future brings.
