Dne 22.4., kdy\u017e se v Praze konal koncert Lordi<\/strong>, jsem m\u011bla mo\u017enost setkat se s Antoniem Calannou a Timem „Tetzelem“ Wagnerem, zp\u011bv\u00e1ky All For Metal<\/strong>. Je\u0161t\u011b jednou d\u00edky za V\u00e1\u0161 \u010das, bylo opravdu skv\u011bl\u00e9 si s V\u00e1mi popov\u00eddat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dobr\u00fd den, je opravdu p\u0159\u00edjemn\u00e9 se s v\u00e1mi op\u011bt setkat, a to tady v \u010cesk\u00e9 republice.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jsem r\u00e1d, \u017ee jsme zp\u00e1tky. Hr\u00e1li jsme v ji\u017e Plzni (na Metalfest<\/strong>u), pak loni s Windrose<\/strong> ve Zl\u00edn\u011b, v Masters of Rock Cafe. Dnes hrajeme tady v Praze a z\u00edtra v Ostrav\u011b. A vr\u00e1t\u00edme se v l\u00e9t\u011b na Rock Castle<\/strong>. Tak\u017ee si mysl\u00edm, \u017ee po N\u011bmecku je \u010cesk\u00e1 republika nejnav\u0161t\u011bvovan\u011bj\u0161\u00ed zem\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Je to opravdu \u00fa\u017easn\u00e9, proto\u017ee jsem byla na v\u0161ech koncertech, kter\u00e9 jsi zm\u00ednil, a je opravdu bezva v\u00e1s tu vid\u011bt.
Koncert na Metalfestu byl mysl\u00edm v\u016fbec prvn\u00ed, \u017ee? Tak\u017ee to byla opravdu historick\u00e1 ud\u00e1lost i pro n\u00e1s, pro fanou\u0161ky. I pro m\u011b bylo dobr\u00e9 vid\u011bt rozd\u00edl mezi prvn\u00ed a druhou show. Proto\u017ee jste si na p\u00f3diu vytvo\u0159ili symbi\u00f3zu a bylo opravdu zaj\u00edmav\u00e9 to vid\u011bt.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ano, p\u0159esn\u011b tak. A te\u010f za necel\u00fd m\u011bs\u00edc druh\u00fd singl, pak za dva m\u011bs\u00edce t\u0159et\u00ed singl, pak bonusov\u00e1 skladba. A na release party v Hamburku odehrajeme n\u00e1\u0161 prvn\u00ed headliner koncert. Prvn\u00ed den 23. srpna je u\u017e vyprodan\u00fd. A pl\u00e1nujeme dal\u0161\u00ed i den pot\u00e9, 24. z\u00e1\u0159\u00ed, na stejn\u00e9m m\u00edst\u011b. A mysl\u00edm, \u017ee to vyprod\u00e1me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tak\u017ee se m\u016f\u017eeme brzy t\u011b\u0161it na novou hudbu. Cht\u011bla jsem se t\u011b (Tetzela) zeptat na tvou dal\u0161\u00ed kapelu, <\/em>Asenblut, proto\u017ee jste tak\u00e9 ohl\u00e1sili nov\u00e9 turn\u00e9.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tetzel<\/strong>
Bohu\u017eel jen n\u011bmeck\u00e9 turn\u00e9. Nov\u00e9 album vyjde 2. srpna, tedy t\u0159i t\u00fddny p\u0159ed nov\u00fdm albem All For Metal, a pok\u0159t\u00edme ho na festivalu Wacken<\/strong>. Uvid\u00edme, co se n\u00e1m poda\u0159\u00ed, i na to se t\u011b\u0161\u00edm. Lid\u00e9 m\u011b toti\u017e poznaj\u00ed u\u017e v mezin\u00e1rodn\u00edm m\u011b\u0159\u00edtku a metal si v\u011bt\u0161inou m\u016f\u017eete poslechnout v jak\u00e9mkoliv jazyce. J\u00e1 s\u00e1m poslouch\u00e1m islandsk\u00fd metal, norsk\u00fd metal, cokoliv. Nerozum\u00edm tomu, ale l\u00edb\u00ed se mi hudebn\u011b, tak\u017ee t\u0159eba to lidi zaujme a v budoucnu si zahrajeme t\u0159eba i v \u010cesku.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tak uvid\u00edme. V \u010cesk\u00e9 republice jsme skute\u010dn\u011b hr\u00e1li v roce 2018. Jeli jsme turn\u00e9 s n\u011bjak\u00fdmi blackmetalov\u00fdmi kapelami a byla tam kritika. Vzpom\u00edn\u00e1m si, \u017ee tak trochu zvl\u00e1\u0161tn\u00ed recenze je n\u011bco, co ob\u010das dost\u00e1v\u00e1me s All For Metal. Byl tam n\u011bjak\u00fd chl\u00e1pek, kter\u00e9mu se v podstat\u011b l\u00edbila jen norsk\u00e1 blackmetalov\u00e1 kapela. Byli jsme s nimi na turn\u00e9 a jemu se prost\u011b l\u00edbili. Tak\u017ee to byly \u010dty\u0159i kapely a on v podstat\u011b \u0159ekl, \u017ee v\u0161echno je odpad. \u0158\u00edkal jsem si, ok, jdi do h\u00e1je.
To jsme za\u017eili v Kodani s All For Metal, tam byl chl\u00e1pek, pro\u0161el na\u0161i show, ka\u017edi\u010dk\u00fd detail, byl opravdu velmi v\u0161\u00edmav\u00fd, ale prost\u011b se mu to dohromady nel\u00edbilo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opravdu jsem sly\u0161ela hodn\u011b pozitivn\u00edch recenz\u00ed na <\/em>All For Metal, ale obecn\u011b hodn\u011b dobr\u00e9. Lidem se l\u00edb\u00ed kost\u00fdmy a energie a mn\u011b se l\u00edb\u00ed i v\u00fdrazn\u00e9 p\u00edsn\u011b. Je to fakt super. Je to pro n\u00e1s velmi d\u016fle\u017eit\u00e9. Ale na druhou stranu v\u00edme, \u017ee jde o to, aby se v\u0161ichni bavili, aby se bavili div\u00e1ci, abychom se spojili a prost\u011b si v\u0161echno u\u017eili. Ano, mysl\u00edm, \u017ee o to jde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No, b\u00fdval jsem profesion\u00e1ln\u00ed sportovec. Te\u010f si d\u00e1v\u00e1m tak trochu pauzu. Ne\u0159\u00edk\u00e1m, \u017ee u\u017e nebudu sout\u011b\u017eit, ale samoz\u0159ejm\u011b st\u00e1rnu, a jak se hudba st\u00e1v\u00e1 d\u016fle\u017eit\u011bj\u0161\u00ed a jsem v\u00edc na cest\u00e1ch, je m\u00e9n\u011b mo\u017en\u00e9 sout\u011b\u017eit na velmi vysok\u00e9 \u00farovni. Kulturistice jsem se v\u011bnoval t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 p\u0159ed deseti lety. Tak\u017ee jsem byl profesion\u00e1ln\u00ed strongman a powerlifter. Na pr\u016fm\u011brn\u00e9ho chlapa jsem po\u0159\u00e1d dost siln\u00fd, ale u\u017e ne na takov\u00e9 elitn\u00ed \u00farovni, na jak\u00e9 jsem sout\u011b\u017eil d\u0159\u00edv. Tak\u017ee te\u010f d\u011bl\u00e1m p\u00e1r turnaj\u016f v p\u00e1ce jen tak pro z\u00e1bavu, proto\u017ee to je takov\u00e1 mezihra. To je taky velk\u00e1 z\u00e1bava. Tak\u017ee ano, pr\u00e1v\u011b te\u010f se sna\u017e\u00edm udr\u017eet ve form\u011b, abych byl schopen ztv\u00e1rnit horu s\u00edly („Mountain of Power“) sp\u00ed\u0161 na p\u00f3diu ne\u017e na sout\u011b\u017ei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Samoz\u0159ejm\u011b. V\u017edy\u0165 je to sou\u010d\u00e1st m\u00e9ho \u017eivota. V\u017edycky budu cvi\u010dit. V\u017edycky budu tr\u00e9novat. Je to prost\u011b to, co m\u011b bav\u00ed. Abych byl up\u0159\u00edmn\u00fd, d\u011bl\u00e1m to r\u00e1d. Na turn\u00e9 je pro m\u011b opravdu t\u011b\u017ek\u00e9 udr\u017eet si cvi\u010debn\u00ed pl\u00e1n. Antonio je v tomto ohledu mnohem p\u0159\u00edsn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed ne\u017e j\u00e1.

J\u00e1 to m\u00e1m jednodu\u0161\u0161\u00ed, proto\u017ee mus\u00edm vypadat huben\u011b. Pro n\u011bj je to mnohem t\u011b\u017e\u0161\u00ed, proto\u017ee mus\u00ed zvedat v\u011bci, a to vlastn\u011b nen\u00ed tak snadn\u00e9.

Ale j\u00e1 se sna\u017e\u00edm. Je to t\u011b\u017ek\u00e9. V\u00ed\u0161, m\u016f\u017ee\u0161 se sna\u017eit ve voln\u00e9m dni doj\u00edt do posilovny. Ale mus\u00ed\u0161 se na to c\u00edtit.

Ve\u010der je show, tak\u017ee nechce\u0161 tu show zkazit, pak jsi opravdu zni\u010den\u00fd. Proto\u017ee vzhledem k tomu, \u017ee jsme za\u010d\u00ednaj\u00edc\u00ed kapela, m\u00e1me toho na bedrech hodn\u011b. Tak\u017ee v\u0161ichni lidi, kte\u0159\u00ed spol\u00e9haj\u00ed na m\u011b a na Tetzela, \u0159e\u0161\u00ed p\u0159\u00edpadn\u00e9 pr\u00e1vn\u00ed probl\u00e9my. Tak\u017ee jsme p\u0159et\u00ed\u017een\u00fd a je\u0161t\u011b mus\u00edme po noc\u00edch zp\u00edvat.
Tetzel<\/strong>
Kvalita sp\u00e1nku v autobuse je sice v po\u0159\u00e1dku, ale nen\u00ed to tak, \u017ee by se \u010dlov\u011bk c\u00edtil, \u017ee je tak sv\u011b\u017e\u00ed. A turn\u00e9 je hodn\u011b dlouh\u00e9, pro m\u011b je to nejdel\u0161\u00ed, co jsem kdy absolvoval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s good to be back. We played in Pilsen (Metalfest), then last year with Windrose in Zl\u00edn, in Masters of Rock Cafe. Today here, in Prague and tomorrow in Ostrava. And we will be back for Rock Castle. So after Germany, I think the Czech Republic is the most visited country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s really awesome because I’ve been to every show you mentioned and it’s really cool to see you here.
The Metalfest show was the first show ever, I think, right? So it was a really historical event also for us, for the fans. It was also good for me to see the difference between the first show and the second one. Because you developed the symbiosis on stage and it was really interesting to see that.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Antonio<\/strong>
And tonight something even more evolved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tetzel<\/strong>
Just one, because we have only a short set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So you are planning a new album. You already released a new single. What\u2019s next?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Antonio<\/strong>
Yes, exactly. And now in less than a month, second single, then two months, the third single, then the bonus track. And we’re gonna play our first headliner show in Hamburg for our release party. First day on the 23 August is already sold out. And we are planning to do it the day after on the 24th, at the same location. And we are gonna sell out, I think so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So we can look forward to the new music soon. I wanted to ask you (<\/em>Tetzel) about your other band, <\/em>Asenblut, because you also announced a tour.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tetzel<\/strong>
Unfortunately only the German tour. The new album will be released on August 2nd, so three weeks before the new All For Metal album, and we will release it at the Wacken festival. Let’s see what we can do, I’m looking forward to that as well. Because people get to know me internationally as well, and usually you can listen to metal in any language. I mean, I listen to Icelandic metal, Norwegian metal, whatever. I don’t understand it, but I like the instrumental part, so maybe people will be interested and we can play for example in Czech Republic in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It would be really cool.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tetzel<\/strong>
Let’s see. We actually played in the Czech Republic in 2018. We did a tour with some black metal bands and there was a review. I remember kind of funny reviews is something we get with All For Metal sometimes. There was a guy, he basically just liked a Norwegian black metal band. We were on tour with them and he just liked them. So it was four bands and he basically said, oh, everything is trash. I was like ok, screw you.
We had that in Copenhagen with All For Metal, there was a guy, he went through our show, through every detail, he was very observant but he didn’t like it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I really heard a lot of positive reviews about <\/em>All For Metal, but really good in general. People like the costumes and energy and I like the powerful songs as well. It’s really cool. I just heard that it’s like <\/em>Manowar, but better.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Antonio<\/strong>
Manowar<\/strong>, Manowar, they are the Kings of Metal, of course.
Tetzel<\/strong>
Yeah, but we are the Gods of Metal.
Antonio<\/strong>
We have to eat a lot of pasta before we become Manowar<\/strong>.
Tetzel<\/strong>
Someone said basically the difference is that we have the kind of tongue-in-cheek humor that they kind of lack because obviously we’re a serious band but we don’t take ourselves too seriously, but what we do, we want to do well and we want to look good and we want to look strong and we want to perform very, very well. It’s very important to us. But on the other hand we know that it’s about having fun for everybody, for the audience, for us to connect and just enjoy everything. Yeah, I think that’s the point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think you are doing a great job with us because it’s really fun. You know, everybody’s having fun and the atmosphere is positive and friendly as well.
I know you, <\/em>Tetzel, have a positive relationship with the Czech Republic.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tetzel<\/strong>
Yeah, I like Czech beer, I like Vep\u0159o, zelo, knedlik. I like Czech people. I like the landscape. Yeah, I think we talked about how I went hiking in Krkono\u0161e a couple of times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s good because we can hope you will come back again and again.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are musicians. Like, I do a lot of voice coaching in between tours and stuff. But Antonio is always on tour. If he’s not on tour with us, he’s touring with musicals.
Antonio<\/strong>
I was also on tour with Induction<\/strong> last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I want to ask you (<\/em>Tetzel) about your bodybuilding stuff.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tetzel<\/strong>
Well, I used to be a professional athlete. Right now I’m kind of taking a break. I’m not saying I’m not going to compete anymore, but of course I’m getting older and as music becomes more important and I’m on the road more, it’s less possible to compete at a very high level. I did bodybuilding almost ten years ago. So I was a competitive strongman and powerlifter. I mean, I’m still pretty strong for the average guy, but not at the elite level that I used to compete at. So right now I’m doing a couple of arm wrestling tournaments just for fun, because that’s kind of in between stuff. That’s a lot of fun too. So, yeah, right now I’m trying to stay in shape to be able to portray the mountain of power on stage more than in competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You still have to like it and you’re all in shape.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tetzel<\/strong>
Of course. I mean, this is part of my life. I will always work out. I will always train. It’s just what I enjoy. I love doing that, to be honest. On tour, for me, it’s really hard to maintain a schedule of working out. Antonio’s very much more strict than me on that.
Antonio<\/strong>
I’m just passing because I have to look skinny. For him, it’s way more difficult because he has to lift stuff, and it’s actually not that easy.
Tetzel<\/strong>
But, I’m trying. I mean, it’s tough. You know, you could try on the day off to get to the gym. You have to feel like it. 
Antonio<\/strong>
There’s show in the night, so you don’t want to fuck up the show, then you are really destroyed. Because since we are a newcomer band, we have a lot on our shoulders. So all the people that count on me and Tetzel to solve any legal problems. So we are overstressed and still have to sing at night.
Tetzel<\/strong>
