Douf\u00e1m, \u017ee se tak stane.<\/strong><\/em> Je to hlavn\u00ed d\u016fvod, pro\u010d vyd\u00e1v\u00e1te nov\u00e9 album v angli\u010dtin\u011b?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

No, tak\u00e9 letos je to 20 let od zalo\u017een\u00ed Feuerschwanz, tak\u017ee jsme cht\u011bli ud\u011blat n\u011bco speci\u00e1ln\u00edho, n\u011bco jin\u00e9ho. A mysleli jsme si, \u017ee je to dobr\u00e1 p\u0159\u00edle\u017eitost, jak se trochu otev\u0159\u00edt i nen\u011bmecky mluv\u00edc\u00edm zem\u00edm. Ale po\u0159\u00e1d se na n\u011bmeck\u00e9 texty soust\u0159ed\u00edme hlavn\u011b u budouc\u00edch alb. U\u017e jsme za\u010dali hr\u00e1t i mimo N\u011bmecko, nap\u0159\u00edklad jsme hr\u00e1li na Masters of Rock<\/a> a letos budeme hr\u00e1t na Metalfestu. A tak\u00e9 jsme letos hr\u00e1li ve \u0160pan\u011blsku nebo v Portugalsku a rovn\u011b\u017e v Holandsku a Belgii. Tak\u017ee pomalu \u0161\u00ed\u0159\u00edme slovo Feuerschwanz i mimo N\u011bmecko. A to je docela fajn. Ale mysl\u00edm, \u017ee anglick\u00e9 texty na chystan\u00e9 desce jsou jen takov\u00fd pootev\u0159en\u00fd dve\u0159e. Po\u0159\u00e1d se toti\u017e chceme soust\u0159edit na n\u011bmeck\u00e9 texty, proto\u017ee si mysl\u00edm, \u017ee je to n\u011bco, co n\u00e1s d\u011bl\u00e1 jedine\u010dn\u00fdmi, proto\u017ee je tolik metalov\u00fdch kapel, kter\u00e9 zp\u00edvaj\u00ed anglicky, ale ne tolik metalov\u00fdch kapel, kter\u00e9 zp\u00edvaj\u00ed n\u011bmecky. A to je na\u0161e sou\u010d\u00e1st, velk\u00e1 sou\u010d\u00e1st. A mysl\u00edm, \u017ee podle ohlas\u016f, kter\u00e9 dost\u00e1v\u00e1m, se to v\u011bt\u0161inou l\u00edb\u00ed i t\u011bm fanou\u0161k\u016fm, kte\u0159\u00ed neum\u00ed n\u011bmecky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pro m\u011b je to velk\u00e1 motivace za\u010d\u00edt se u\u010dit n\u011bmecky.<\/strong><\/em> Zm\u00ednil jste dvacet let Feuerschwanz.<\/strong><\/em> Chyst\u00e1te krom\u011b alba je\u0161t\u011b n\u011bco speci\u00e1ln\u00edho?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jasn\u011b, samoz\u0159ejm\u011b. M\u00e1me velkou v\u00fdro\u010dn\u00ed show v Essenu<\/strong>, v Grugahalle<\/strong>, na nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00edm Metfestu<\/strong> v\u0161ech dob. To bude fantastick\u00e9. Na prosinec jsme si pozvali Die<\/strong> Apokalyptischen Reiter<\/strong> and Illumishade<\/strong> a n\u011bjak\u00e9 dal\u0161\u00ed hosty, kter\u00e9 zat\u00edm je\u0161t\u011b nejsou ohl\u00e1\u0161eni. Bude to na\u0161e nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00ed halov\u00e1 show v historii, je to opravdu obrovsk\u00e1 hala, mysl\u00edm, \u017ee se tam vejde asi 7000 lid\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mysl\u00edm, \u017ee ty p\u00edsni\u010dky funguj\u00ed jinak. N\u011bkter\u00e9 p\u00edsni\u010dky, kter\u00e9 v N\u011bmecku funguj\u00ed docela dob\u0159e, kv\u016fli text\u016fm, i kdy\u017e t\u0159eba nejsou hudebn\u011b tak vysp\u011bl\u00e9. Reakce na rozd\u00edln\u00e9 p\u00edsn\u011b jsou r\u016fzn\u00e9. Je to docela zaj\u00edmav\u00e9 sledovat. Ale nejp\u0159ekvapiv\u011bj\u0161\u00ed pro n\u00e1s bylo, kdy\u017e jsme poprv\u00e9 hr\u00e1li ve \u0160pan\u011blsku nebo v \u010cesk\u00e9 republice, \u017ee lid\u00e9 vlastn\u011b zp\u00edvali n\u011bmeck\u00e1 slova. Bylo to \u0161\u00edlen\u00e9. Bylo to pro n\u00e1s velk\u00e9 p\u0159ekvapen\u00ed, proto\u017ee v\u011bt\u0161inou to jako N\u011bmec ne\u010dek\u00e1te, v\u00edte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

T\u011b\u0161\u00edte se, \u017ee op\u011bt nav\u0161t\u00edv\u00edte \u010ceskou republiku a p\u0159ijedete na Metalfest?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ur\u010dit\u011b. Je to pro n\u00e1s velk\u00e1 \u010dest hr\u00e1t mimo N\u011bmecko, to je pro n\u00e1s st\u00e1le nov\u00e9. Tak\u017ee je vzru\u0161uj\u00edc\u00ed vid\u011bt, co se tam d\u011bje se v\u0161emi ostatn\u00edmi kapelami. V\u00edte, my v\u017edycky hr\u00e1vali v N\u011bmecku a sledovali jsme, jak ostatn\u00ed kapely jezd\u00ed do \u010ceska, Polska nebo Francie, a te\u010f tam jedeme taky. Jsem z toho opravdu nad\u0161en\u00fd. \u010cesk\u00e1 republika je n\u00e1m vlastn\u011b stra\u0161n\u011b bl\u00edzk\u00e1, proto\u017ee jsme z ji\u017en\u00edho N\u011bmecka, tak\u017ee d\u00e1v\u00e1 smysl hr\u00e1t tam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moc se t\u011b\u0161\u00edm, \u017ee se tam uvid\u00edme. Je\u0161t\u011b jednou V\u00e1m d\u011bkuji za V\u00e1\u0161 \u010das a brzy zase na vid\u011bnou!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before the show of Feuerschwanz<\/strong> in Dresden I had a chance to spend a few minutes with Hans Platz<\/strong> and ask a few question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hello Hans, it’s pleasure to meet you and thank you for your time. I know you’re a great guitarist and Feuerschwanz is not the only band you play with. Could you tell me something about the other?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you. My other baby is project called Dark Side of the Moon<\/strong>. I’m doing it together with Melissa Bonny<\/strong>, maybe you know her, because she is a fantastic singer, also with Morten L\u00f8we S\u00f8rensen<\/strong>, the drummer from Amaranthe<\/strong>, Korbinian Benedict<\/strong>, the bass player of Ad Infinitum<\/strong> and Jenny<\/strong> Diehl <\/strong>(dancer of Feuerschwanz<\/strong>) plays the harp. We are taking themes and music from movies or games, and bring them into the metal world and we also did some original songs. I think it’s quite a unique combination with a harp and Melissa’s strong vocals and it all mixes very well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Okay, let’s talk about <\/em>Feuerschwanz now. You are very popular here in Germany, but not so much in the other countries in the world.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think we’re going to change it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hope you will. Is that the main reason you’re releasing a new album in English language?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, it’s 20 years of Feuerschwanz as well, so we wanted to do something special, something different. And we thought it’s a good opportunity to open up to non-German speaking countries a little bit. But we still keep our main focus on the German lyrics with future albums. We already started playing outside of Germany, like we did play Masters of Rock and going to play Metalfest this year. And we also played in Spain or in Portugal this year, and also in Holland and Belgium. So we’re slowly spreading the word of Feuerschwanz outside of Germany. And it’s kind of cool. But I think the English lyrics for the upcoming album is just a door opener. Because we still want to focus on German lyrics, because I think it’s something which makes us unique, because there’s so many metal bands singing English, but not so many metal bands singing in German. And that’s a part, big part of us. And I think from the feedback which I get, usually the non-German speaking fans like it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For me it’s a great motivation to start learning German. You mentioned the 20 years of Feuerschwanz. Do you have something special planed besides your album?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right, of course. We have a big anniversary show in Essen<\/strong>, the Grugahalle<\/strong>, the biggest Metfest<\/strong> of all times. This will be fantastic. In December we invited Die<\/strong> Apokalyptischen Reiter<\/strong> and Illumishade<\/strong> and some other guests which are not announced yet. This will be our biggest indoor show ever, it’s really huge hall, I think about 7000 people fit in there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sounds really great. You mentioned you were playing at Masters of Rock. Do you think there is a difference in the atmosphere when you play the Czech crowd or the German crowd?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think the songs work differently. Some songs which work in Germany quite well because of the lyrics, which are maybe musically not that advanced. The reactions are different to different songs. It’s quite interesting to see. But the most surprising part for us was when we first played in Spain or in the Czech Republic that actually people sang the German words. It was crazy. It was a big surprise for us, because usually you’re not expecting this as a German, you know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are you looking forward to visit Czech republic again and to come to Metalfest?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Absolutely. It’s a big honour for us to play outside Germany and it’s still new to us. So it’s exciting to see what’s going on there with all the other bands. You know, we always play in Germany and we were watching other bands going to Czech republic or Poland or France and now we’re going as well. I’m really excited about it. Czech republic is actually so close to us, because we are from southern Germany, so it makes sense to play there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
