Hungarian folk-punk Roses of Thieves<\/strong> and Tunisian progressive metal band Myrath<\/strong> electrified the room at Rock Caf\u00e9<\/strong> Prague on the 11th of April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roses of Thieves - Let\u2019s dance!<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Roses of Thieves<\/strong> was the perfect opener for Myrath. The Hungarians were full of energy and their songs made the public dance, as well as the musicians. They played mostly songs from their last album \u201cDemons Ascend\u201d with songs such as \u201cWhite Wolf\u201d or \u201cFend off the Dark\u201d, but also their surprising cover of Sabrina Salerno\u2019s \u201cBoys Summer Love\u201d. The beautiful melodies of the band were even more special live thanks to the accordion player, completing the band in an unique way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myrath - What we wanted and what we needed<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

It was the first time Myrath <\/strong>came to Prague as a headliner and they didn\u2019t disappoint. They started strong with \u201cThe Funeral\u201d from their new album \u201cWilderness of Mirrors\u201d and blended some older songs such as \u201cDance\u201d ( from the album \u201cShehili\u201d, 2019) and \u201cTales of the sands\u201d (from \u201cTales of the sands\u201d, 2011) with their new ones during the rest of the show.
Seeing Myrath <\/strong>isn\u2019t just about music, it is a performance. Despite the small venue and the absence of fire effects, there was still a beautiful dancer on stage on several occasions, dancing using her clothes, fans or even a saber! They also have beautiful outfits. For this tour the drummer Morgan Berthet <\/strong>is wearing a mask, which makes his performance even more impressive. I particularly appreciated to see him having a drum solo, something that tends to be rare nowadays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The singer Zaher Zorgati <\/strong>is truly a showman and interacts a lot with the crowd, giving even explanations about some songs. He was joined during \u201cUntil the end\u201d by Ivett Dudas <\/strong>of Roses of Thieves<\/strong>, perfectly replacing Elize Ryd who initially sings the female vocals on the album.
Myrath kept us with them during the whole show without effort due to their perfect balance of musical performance, interactions and spectacle. We were asked \u201cDo you want it? Do you need it?\u201d and for sure we received what we wanted and more.
The last song was their most popular one, \u201cBeliever\u201d from the album \u201cLegacy\u201d (2016) and Zaher changed the crowd into a choir. The public and Myrath ended the show singing together: believe and carry on<\/em>.
