American party starring Sleep Theory

On February 22, another concert took place in Prague, this time at the club Futurum. American artists came to their first headline show in the Czech Republic, Sleep Theory With support of sister duo, The Pretty Wilde, which performed here for the first time ever.

The Pretty Wilde are an American metal band from Las Vegas, and they made their debut in Czechia. I think that even though the hall wasn't completely full, the atmosphere was excellent. I had never heard of them before, so I didn't expect anything from them. That made them all the more surprising to me. Even though it's not really my style, I really enjoyed the whole performance, and the audience in front of the stage looked and sounded pretty enthusiastic. I think we haven't heard the last of them, and they have great potential for the future.

I stumbled upon Sleep Theory purely by accident, but I was hooked on their music from the very first listen. Their live performance was no exception, and I'm glad I got to experience it. It was a party from start to finish, and even during the slower songs, the crowd was boiling and singing along loudly. Although it took place on a Sunday and more people preferred to head to Karlín that day, it definitely didn't hurt the atmosphere. They played their latest songs, such as "Gravity," "Parasite," and the slower "Words Are Worthless," as well as several older and successful covers, such as "Bye Bye Bye" and "Cruel Summer." The finale of the performance belonged to the most energetic and catchy song, "Static," which they also play live with significant artificial vocal editing, which the singer himself joked about.

Even though it was a smaller concert, it was very successful and I am glad I could be there. Events like this recharge my batteries and I will never stop attending them. It was clear that I wasn't the only one enjoying the evening to the fullest.
