On the 12th of February 2026, the famous Roxy Club welcomed the highly awaited French project Igorrr. It was quickly sold out and if you don’t get why, you would have after seeing the show.
Thoughtcrimes – No more thoughts for me
It started with Thoughtcrimes, a band from New York city created in 2019. They started hard with their new single “Violent Garden”. I didn’t know much about them before, but I enjoyed their show. My favorite song on their setlist was “Lunar Waves”. It was the calmest one that was more like a break in between the harsh vocals and the heavy riffs. Globally the band is not really my type, and I admit I probably won’t listen to them much after this show. Regarding the atmosphere in the crowd, I am pretty sure many won’t share my opinion about them and that’s perfectly fine. If you are more into hardcore, they are for you.

Dvne – A “progressive” journey
After came Dvne, a progressive metal band from Edinburgh formed in 2013. Their melodies directly charmed the audience. The mix of clear and harsh vocals was perfect, bringing intensity and depth. They played one song from their album “Etemen ænka” (2021), “Si-XIV” and the rest were from their last one, “Voidkind” (2024). Good representation of progressive metal, their long songs invited the crowd to begin the journey slowly but surely. Dvne truly seduced me and I am looking forward to seeing them as a headliner in the future. I will follow closely what they are doing, and I advise all prog fans to do the same.

Igorrr – Amen!
Igorrr, which started as the project of the French multi-instrumentalist Gautier Serre, is now established as one of the most impressive experimental metal bands. Their last album, “Amen” (2025), confirms once again that the creative genius of Serre has no limits. Igorrr took us on a unique musical journey full of variety. Metal songs with screaming lyrics, influences from Orient, Opera or Electro, there is no box in which Igorrr could fit and that’s what makes their music amazing. Very important are also the talented artists on stage: Martyn Clement as the lead guitarist, Rémi Serafino on drums, JB Le Bail as the harsh vocalist, the mezzo-soprano opera singer Marthe Alexandre and of course Gautier Serre, doing everything he can and even more (percussions, keyboards, guitar, music programming and conductor).
But Igorrr is not only about music,it’s about the complete performance. The stage of Roxy Club was a bit small compared to what Igorrr is used to, but it didn’t limit it. They started with the song “Daemoni”. JB Le Bail could be the demon with his black and gold make-up that covers all his visible skin. He looks mysterious, almost mystical. The audience is directly taken to another world, another dimension. Then Marthe arrives in her beautiful white dress that reminded me of Antique Greece fashion. She sings, dances, plays with the lights in a truly captivating way. JB and she took the stage as the main characters of this avant-gardist play. Even without using their usual décor elements, the crowd followed them without hesitation. Igorrr performance is a musical spectacle that won’t let you get out of here exactly the same as when you entered.
The crowd was packed and people were moving, dancing, running around and vibing no matter the variations of styles as Igorrr truly managed to create their own. The show ended after the song “Opus Brain” with everyone chanting: Igorrr! Igorrr! Igorrr!

I truly hope that next time they are in Prague, Igorrr will be offered a bigger stage to express themselves fully. Regarding the level of their performance on the 12th, how amazing it will be with all the decors!
