Hned na úvod týdne, v pondělí 9.2.2026, jsme se ještě vydali do klubu Roxy Club v Praze, zase na trochu jiný zážitek s progresivním metalem. Prahu v rámci svého turné navštívili norští Leprousvisited Prague as part of their tour with support of two bands in similar style, IHLO and Crystal Horizon.
I barely made it in time for the first act, and the club was already pretty full from the start. The Norwegian band, still young and just starting out, Crystal Horizon rozjela večer velice kvalitně. Svým stylem opravdu dost připomínají své zkušenější krajany a publikum vypadalo s tímto vystoupením velice spokojeně. Zahráli pár již vydaných skladeb, ale přidali také jednu úplně novou ještě neoposlouchanou. Já jsem z nich měla velice pozitivní pocit.
The second group to perform were much more experienced musicians from Britain, the band Ihlo. The atmosphere of their performance seemed a bit psychedelic to me, and honestly, I didn't enjoy it at all. Listening to this music made me feel uncomfortable, and I was looking forward to it ending.
At the end of the evening, the Norwegian kings of progressive metal, Leprous led by an exceptional vocalist Einar Solbergawaited us. This was truly on another level. The sound was absolutely phenomenal, and the light show complemented the musical experience to perfection. Most of the songs played were from their latest release, but overall it was a journey through their discography, and they didn't forget the very popular cover of "Take On Me," which earned positive reviews. I have to admit that the hall was buzzing with excitement, and each song was followed by thunderous applause. The whole club was full of enthusiastic fans, and the band did everything they could to please them. Personally, this progressive evening didn't really suit me, but I was drawn in by the atmosphere, and my overall impression of the evening was very positive.
In conclusion, I would just like to thank everyone who came for creating such a wonderful atmosphere, which made this evening a truly memorable experience.
