V neděli 6.10.2024 jsem se vydala na šílený výlet do Hannoveru, abych viděla ne jen jednu, ale hned dvě své oblíbené kapely. Battle Beast and Serenity jsem prostě letos musela vidět ještě jednou a tohle byla poslední šance.
A ten výlet rozhodně stál za to! Před otevřením dveří se konalo VIP setkání s kapelou BB. Setkat se s těmito lidmi je vždycky tak skvělé. Všichni jsou tak milí a přátelští. Takže jsme získali pár jejich podpisů a samozřejmě i pár společných fotek.
Pak už byl čas čekat na vystoupení první kapely (samozřejmě v první řadě). Kapelu Brymir jsem nikdy předtím neviděla a byli pro mě velmi příjemným překvapením. Hrají dobrou hudbu ve stylu melodického death metalu a jejich vtípky na pódiu mě moc bavily. Jejich show trvala jen 30 minut, ale za tu dobu ze sebe ukázali to nejlepší.
Poté konečně přišel čas podívat se na Serenity. Tento koncert byl ve speciální sestavě, protože byli přítomni všichni stálí členové a hrál s nimi i náhradní kytarista Hinki. Bylo trochu zvláštní vidět během vystoupení Serenity dva vokalisty, ale Georg and Marco jsou natolik zvyklí hrát a vystupovat společně, že to byl pro celé publikum úžasný zážitek. Jejich set byl plný písní z posledního alba „Nemesis AD“ a několika oblíbených starších skladeb jako například „Legacy of Tudors“.
Headliner show byla pravá finská heavy metalová párty s jedinečnou kapelou Battle Beast. Poslední koncert tohoto dlouhého turné Circus of Doom byl opravdu skvělým zážitkem. Zahráli spoustu skvělých skladeb z posledního alba, nezapomněli ani na starší písně jako „Familiar Hell“ nebo mou oblíbenou „Bastard Son of Odin“. Nechyběl ani vtípek na pódiu od Brymir, kdy rozjeli pravou finskou saunu a objevili se jen v ručnících. Celý koncert zakončili slibem, že přivezou novou hudbu a že se brzy (za rok) vrátí na turné. Byl to bláznivý výlet, ale za velmi dobrým cílem. Takové kapely je vždy zážitek potkat a už teď se těším na další koncert. Děkuji všem kapelám za skvělá vystoupení a milá setkání.

On Sunday the 6.10.2024 I made a crazy trip to Hannover to see not one but two of my favourite bands. I just had to see Battle Beast and Serenity once more this year, and this was the last chance.
And the trip was totally worth it! Before the doors opened, there was a VIP meet & greet with the BB band. It is always so much fun to meet these guys. They are all so nice and friendly. So we got a few signatures and of course some photos together.
Then it was time to wait for the first band to perform (in the first row of course). I’ve never seen Brymir before, but they were a very pleasant surprise for me. They play good music in the style of melodic death metal and I really like their jokes on stage. Their show lasted only 30 minutes, but they showed the best of themselves.
After that it was finally time to see Serenity. This show was with a special line-up, as all members were present and also the substitute guitarist Hinki also played with them. It was a bit strange to see two vocalists during Serenity‚s show, but Georg and Marco are so used to playing and performing together that it was an amazing experience for the whole audience. Their set was full of songs from the latest album „Nemesis AD“ and some popular older songs for example like „Legacy of Tudors“.
The headliner show was a real Finnish heavy metal party with the one and only Battle Beast. The last show of this long Circus of Doom tour was really a great experience. They played a lot of great songs from the latest album, they didn’t forget older songs like „Familiar Hell“ or my personal favourite „Bastard Son of Odin“. We didn’t even miss a prank on stage from Brymir, they started a real Finnish sauna. And they ended the show with a promise to deliver new music and to be back on the road soon.

It was a crazy trip, but for a very good cause. It’s always a treat to meet bands like this and I’m already looking forward to the next gig. Thanks to all bands for wonderful performance and nice meetings.
