Během “Battle of Metal tour”, společného turné skupin All For Metal, Grailknights a Tungsten, nás zaujaly hned dvě zastávky. První byla v Schirndingu v sobotu 25.10. a druhá ve Zlíně v neděli 26.10.2025. Náš tým se proto rozdělil, abychom mohli navštívit a porovnat obě dvě zastávky. Já s Haxenem jsme vyjeli do Schirndingu a fotografie pořídil Vasilis ve Zlíně.
Švédové Tungsten konečně vyjeli také do střední Evropy a my jsme si je mohli poprvé užít také na živo. Nedávno vydali své poslední album “The Grand Inferno” a tak nebylo překvapením, že nejvíce hraných skladeb bylo právě z něj. Do půlhodinového setu se bohužel vešlo pouze sedm skladeb, ale nechyběly nové hity jako “Blood of the Kings” nebo naopak také první skladba jakou jsem o nich v životě slyšela, “The Fairies Dance”.
Další přišli na řadu němečtí superhrdinové Grailknights s mnohem delším setem. Bohužel jeden z kytaristů, červený Count Cranium, se necítil úplně dobře, tak byl schovaný za bočním závěsem a hrál pouze nejnutnější části. Jejich poslední album vyšlo přesně v první den jejich tour a opět jsme slyšeli především skladby z tohoto alba. Zařadily jich celkově sedm, včetně úspěšného singlu “Grailgym”, “In The Eyes Of The Enemy” s podporou Mariou Nesh nebo titulní skladbu “Forever”. Zbytek setu tvořily starší typické skladby jako “Cthulhu” nebo “Super Hero Medley” a na závěr ještě zahráli “Pumping Iron Power”. I bez jednoho plného člena byl večer plný energie, ukazování svalů a samozřejmě nechyběl ani souboj s Dr. Skullem.
Na závěr nastoupili All For Metal, kteří opět hýřili vtipem a bojovnou energií. I přes změnu v sestavě v podobě mladé kytaristky Sheeny Bellomo se mi zdáli opět o kousek sehranější. Také přidali nové kostýmy a rekvizity ke skladbám ze druhého alba. I když mají venku pouze dvě studiová alba, tak jejich popularita stále roste a to především díky jejich živým vystoupením. Konečně měli dostatečně dlouhý set na to, aby zařadili novější skladby, které jsem od nich naživo ještě neslyšela. Příjemným zpestřením byla pomalá skladba v akustickém provedení “Path of the Brave” k ostatním rychlým a energickým. Od prvních “Gods of Metal” po závěrečné “All For Metal” a “Goddes of War” bylo na pódiu i mimo něj velice rušno a všichni si užívali kvalitní hudbu a povedený večer.
Bohužel každý večer musí jednou skončit a po vystoupeních byl už jen čas se pozdravit a rozloučit aspoň s některými účinkujícími a vyjet směrem k domovu. Děkuji za pozvání Rockclub Nordbayern i Pragokoncertu. Doufám, že se s kapelami brzy znovu uvidíme, třeba na nějakém letním festivalu.

During the “Battle of Metal tour,” a joint tour by the bands All For Metal, Grailknights, and Tungsten, two stops caught our attention. The first was in Schirnding on Saturday, October 25, and the second was in Zlín on Sunday, October 26, 2025. Our team therefore split up so that we could visit and compare both stops. Haxen and I went to Schirnding, and Vasilis took photos in Zlín.
The Swedish band Tungsten finally came to Central Europe, and we were able to enjoy them live for the first time. They recently released their latest album, “The Grand Inferno,” so it was no surprise that most of the songs they played were from it. Unfortunately, only seven songs fit into the half-hour set, but they included new hits such as “Blood of the Kings” and the first song I ever heard by them, “The Fairies Dance.”
Next up were German superheroes Grailknights with a much longer set. Unfortunately, one of the guitarists, the red Count Cranium, wasn’t feeling well, so he hid behind a side curtain and only played the most necessary parts. Their latest album was released on the first day of their tour, and once again we heard mainly songs from this album. They played a total of seven, including the successful single “Grailgym,” “In The Eyes Of The Enemy” with support from Maria Nesh, and the title track “Forever.” The rest of the set consisted of older typical songs such as “Cthulhu” and “Super Hero Medley,” and they finished with “Pumping Iron Power.” Even without one full member, the evening was full of energy, muscle flexing, and of course, a battle with Dr. Skull.
All For Metal took the stage last, once again bursting with humor and combative energy. Despite the change in lineup with the addition of young guitarist Sheena Bellomo, they seemed even more cohesive than before. They also added new costumes and props to songs from their second album. Although they have only released two studio albums, their popularity continues to grow, mainly thanks to their live performances. Finally, they had a set long enough to include newer songs that I had not yet heard them play live. A pleasant change of pace was the slow acoustic version of “Path of the Brave” compared to the other fast and energetic songs. From the first “Gods of Metal” to the final “All For Metal” and “Goddess of War,” it was very busy on and off stage, and everyone enjoyed the quality music and a great evening.
Unfortunately, every evening must come to an end, and after the performances, there was only time to say hello and goodbye to at least some of the performers and head home. Thank you to Rockclub Nordbayern and Pragokoncert for the invitation. I hope to see the bands again soon, perhaps at a summer festival.
