V neděli 7. 4. 2024 se v brněnském SONO Music Clubu konal koncert populární německé kapely Beyond the Black s doprovodnou španělskou skupinou Ankor.
Jako první vystoupila alternativní metalová kapela s ženskou tváří, která pochází ze španělského Katalánska. Kapela je normálně pětičlenná, bohužel nám chyběl baskytarista, který se právě nedávno stal otcem. I se čtyřmi členy předvedli ale skvělou show. Pro mě to bylo jejich první živé vystoupení, ale doufám, že ne poslední. Tento žánr pro mě není tak typický a nahrávky nejsou tak zajímavé, ale energie, která z pódia šla, byla neuvěřitelná a já si naprosto užívala každou vteřinu koncertu. Na krátká videa se můžete podívat na našich sociálních sítích. Určitě si tuhle kapelu poslechněte, poslechněte si poslední album “Venom” a v srpnu se s nimi můžete opět setkat v České republice na letním festivalu Rock Castle.

Headliner Beyond The Black je kapela z Německa, která hraje symfonický metal a rovněž v jejím čele stojí žena. Jejich ikonou je rozhodně zpěvačka Jennifer Haben, kterou podporují dva skvělí kytaristé Tobi Lodes a Chris Hermsdörfer a samozřejmě talentovaný bubeník Kai Tschierschky. Na tomto turné hraje na basu Linus Klausenitzer.
Jejich hodinu a půl dlouhý set byl plný skvělých písní. Nezapomněli zahrát ani některé staré písně ze svých raných alb, například “Hallelujah “, “In the Heart of a Hurricane” nebo “Lost in Forever”. Soustředili se však spíše na poslední album, proto nemohli vynechat písně jako “Dancing in the Dark”, “Reincarnation” nebo “Is There Anybody Out There?”. Velkým překvapením pro fanoušky byl také akustický set uprostřed koncertu, kdy Jennifer hrála na klavír a Chris na akustickou kytaru. Aranžmá písně “I Remember Dying” bylo ale úplně nejhlubší vzpomínkou na celý koncert. Celý večer zakončili třemi úžasnými skladbami “Free me”, “Horizons” a poslední byla typická závěrečná píseň “In the Shadows”.

Večer byl plný skvělé atmosféry, zpívajících fanoušků a povzbuzujícího ječení. Také se můžete na pár videí pořízených během veřera na našich sociálních sítích. Užila jsem si to a těším se na další podobné koncerty.
Všichni musíme poděkovat oběma kapelám a jejich crew za ohromující výkony a samozřejmě také organizátorům za jejich tvrdou práci. Snad se uvidíme zase příště.

On Sunday 7.4.2024 there was a show of the famous German band Beyond the Black with a supporting Spanish band Ankor in Brno SONO Music Club.
The first band was a female fronted alternative metal band from Catalonia (Spain). The band is usually a five-piece group, unfortunately we missed the bassist because he recently became a father. Even with the four members they gave a great show. It was the first time for me, but hopefully not the last. This genre is not so typical for me and the recordings are not so interesting, but the energy that came from the stage was incredible and I totally enjoyed every second of the show. You can see some short videos on our social media. Be sure to check out this band, listen to their latest album “Venom”, and you can see them again in the Czech Republic this August at the Rock Castle summer festival.
Headliner Beyond The Black is another female fronted, but symphonic metal band from Germany. The iconic thing for them is definitely singer Jennifer Haben supported by two great guitarists Tobi Lodes and Chris Hermsdörfer and of course talented drummer Kai Tschierschky. On this tour the bass is played by Linus Klausenitzer.
Their one and a half hour set was full of great songs. They don’t forget to play some old songs from their early albums for example “Hallelujah”, “In the Heart of a Hurricane” or “Lost in Forever”. But the focus is more on the new album, so they couldn’t leave out songs like “Dancing in the Dark”, “Reincarnation” or “Is There Anybody Out There?”. A big surprise for the fans was the acoustic set in the middle of the show, Jennifer playing piano and Chris playing acoustic guitar. The arrangement of the song “I Remember Dying” was the deepest memory of the whole show. The show ended with three amazing songs “Free me”, “Horizons” and the last one was the typical closing song “In the Shadows”.
The evening was full of great atmosphere, singing fans and supportive screams. You can also watch a few videos of this show on our social media. I enjoyed it and look forward to more shows like this.
We all have to thank both bands and their crew for a great performance and of course the organizers for their hard work. Hopefully we’ll see again next time.
